Pre-Qualification Process

All professional design service consultants, professional service sub-consultants and prime contractors are required to be pre-qualified in order to perform work with the School District of Philadelphia (SDP). Each pre-qualification has a duration of two (2) years from the SRC approval date. All professional service companies and prime contractors are required to re-qualify after two years in order to maintain their pre-qualified status. A current list of pre-qualified professional service firms as well as prime contractors is located on the PSIT website (see What's New? tab below).

The application process for both professional service and prime contractors is an open enrollment with bi-annual reviews. The review dates are posted in the table below. Each submitted application is technically and administratively evaluated to determine the pre-qualification status of each firm. The pre-qualification status dictates the trades for which each company is pre-qualified and permitted to perform work for the SDP. In the event that an application is incomplete, the firm will receive a "conditional" classification where the company may not enter into contract with the SDP until that information is provided and approved.
