Safe night philadelphia

JUNE 6, 2008 ~ 3:30 - 5:30 PM

This is our Fourth Annual Safe Night Philadelphia. Safe Night Philadelphia is a city-wide effort led by the School District of Philadelphia as a response to violence and to address the issue of youth safety one night at a time. Safe Night Philadelphia reaches and encourages organizations, businesses, communities as well as public and private institutions to hold Safe Night events for young people. A “Safe Night Event” is planned by young people and adults, which integrates fun with lessons in conflict resolution, leadership development, and anger management.

For the past three years we have held successful Safe Night Philadelphia events in over five hundred locations servicing over 200,000 youth and keeping them safe! No safe night event has resulted in the death of a student, hospitalization or arrest due to violence. This year we are planning to continue that same outstanding record with your help.
