The principal should bring to the attention of parents in the school community the necessity for obtaining documentary evidence of age and, where appropriate, alien or immigrant status in advance of making application for the admission of children to school. Announcements made in the school assembly, news items in the school or local papers, and communications to community leaders will serve to bring this matter to the attention of parents.

Parents who do not read or speak English shall be provided with a written explanation of the admission form (EH 40). These notices are written in Spanish, Vietnamese, Laotian, Cambodian, Korean and Chinese and are available at all school sites.
