126. CLASS SIZE

1. Authority

  1. Class size for all grades, including kindergarten, shall be determined by the Board of Education after consultation with the Superintendent, based on School District factors and allowances.

2. Delegation of Responsibility

  1. The Superintendent shall prepare guidelines for class size which shall take into account subject matter, type of instruction, ability of pupils, help of aides, and use of special facilities and equipment. These guidelines shall be consistent with state regulations and contractual obligations.
